Hi, my name is Anna.

I find it surprisingly difficult to describe myself to a complete stranger who's now reading my attempt to do exactly that. I'd much rather let people decide for themselves who I am. But enough philosophy for now, here are a few facts.

I'm 21 years old and currently doing my Master's in Criminology. When I was 18, I travelled alone through Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile, and I genuinely think that experience rewired part of my brain. I've always been fascinated by people and by discovering the unknown, but even more by discovering myself in the process.

I often think about how we're all so close to one another, yet separated by invisible social boundaries and internalised norms. Sometimes I'm grateful those boundaries exist; other times I wonder what the world would look like if people simply allowed themselves to be who they naturally are. Maybe that's a little utopian, but I like imagining it.

Anyway, before I disappear completely into existential thoughts...

As I said, I'm studying Criminology. And no, I don't want to become a police officer, quite the opposite, actually. I'd much rather explain why over a coffee than try to fit it into a paragraph, otherwise I'll end up writing an entire book.

I love reading, especially non-fiction; history, psychology, sociology, memoirs, anything that helps me understand people a little better. I enjoy conversations that start with something completely random and somehow end with questioning the meaning of life. I love nature in its purest form because it constantly reminds me how incredibly small I am, and how small even our biggest problems become when you zoom out.

I love animals more than humans, they teach us so much we don't want to take as a lesson. I love feeling the sun on my face, summer rain, wandering around cities with no destination, cinemas, theatre, and people who are genuinely curious about the world.

As for dislikes... I struggle with voluntary ignorance. I find it difficult when people are completely indifferent to what's happening in the world around them. I don't like excessive laziness, mozzarella (I'm sorry), or anxious feelings. And sometimes I don't like the fact that my mind has a tendency to make everything a little more complicated than it probably needs to be.

But I suppose that's part of who I am.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have various skills like cooking, gardening, cleaning, babysitting, taking care of animals and also administrative work.
As a person I have good social and emotional skills, if you need a deep talk, I'll be there.
I've done 2 years of gardening for a municipality (Ixelles) in my city Brussels, I learned how to water, plant and take care of plants, how to weed and mow like a pro.
