Description
My name is Amy and I live in Ireland. For the last six years I have been working in speech and language therapy in both hospitals and community centres, and I would really love the chance to travel, clear my head and experience a new way of life for a while. After completing my Bachelor, I spent several months on a Workaway at Lake Como and I had an incredible time. , I would like to take a year out to clear my head and experience a new way of life in Italy. I went on holidays there many times with my family when I was younger (to Lake Garda, Rome, Umbria, Venice, Verona, Molveno and Sorrento) and I completely fell in love with each place I went to. Now I would really love to experience Italy not as a tourist but more as a local while helping others, learning new skills and connecting with nature in the meantime. I have a very basic level of Italian but I would really love to learn more so if anyone does not wish to speak English, that is not a problem. I would be happy to communicate through Italian and I will hopefully pick it up quickly.
In my third year of university, I went on Erasmus to Konstanz in the South of Germany which was an incredible experience where I met wonderful people from all over the world, improved my German, travelled to the most beautiful places and grew up a lot as a person. It really opened my eyes to how much of the world I still have to discover and showed me that adapting to a new way of life and culture is not anyway as challenging as I had expected.
I am a very open-minded, hard-working and patient person. Although I can be shy at times, I am very sociable and love meeting new people and making new friends. I am trustworthy and dependable and very open to trying new things and learning new skills.
I would be open to helping out with just about anything – cooking, cleaning, farm work, animal care, language learning, welcoming and helping guests, administrative work.Centres d’intérêt

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I spent nine months volunteering in Altadore Nursing Home, where I offered support to elderly people and helped organise and participate in activities with them such as arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes and singalongs.
Two years ago, I helped a student in preparation for Junior Certificate German exam (a state examination that Irish students must sit at the age of 15). I found this teaching a very enjoyable and rewarding experience and I would really be interested in engaging in similar work again.
I will be completing a TEFL course in May 2016 before I begin my travelling so I can provide help with anyone wishing to improve their English. If anyone wishes to learn some French or German, I would be very happy to help with that too.
I am adaptable and open to learning new skills.Âge
