Hi, I'm Ali :) I am 23 yr old from the Pacific Northwest, USA with a dream of seeing and experiencing as much of this world as I can! I graduated from college with a marketing degree a few years ago, but found a calling in the service industry as a bartender and cocktail waitress, which lets me keep a flexible schedule to go on cool adventures!

I am a very independent, outgoing, and social person who loves to travel, make new friends, and experience new cultures. I finally got my passport at the end of 2024 and went on my first international trip to Europe in early 2025! It was the most amazing experience of my life and fueled my desire to continue traveling the world, so here I am :)

I am an avid animal lover, nature enthusiast, foodie, and an athlete, to name a few! I love all things mother earth and the outdoors, but am a fan of exploring a cool city too - like I said before, I want to see it all :) My favorite way to experience new places is through the eyes of a local - I think it's the best way to really immerse yourself, get to know a culture, and truly make the most of experiencing a new place. When I eventually settle down from traveling, I have a dream of owning my own small homestead, so I'm also hoping to learn some things that will help me achieve that along the way.

One of my biggest beliefs is that we as humans are meant to experience as much as we can in this little life we get, and make meaningful connections while we're at it. I also am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and that trusting your intuition will guide you exactly where you need to be. After hearing about workaway programs from a friend, I couldn't help but feel compelled to join, and I have faith that any opportunities I find here will put me exactly where I'm meant to be and give me the experiences of a lifetime. I am so excited to be a part of this community and see where it takes me!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades - I've dabbled in little bits of lots of skills in my lifetime so far.

I graduated from a small liberal arts college with a bachelors degree in Marketing and Digital Media, and minors in Art and Human Health and Wellness. I was a social media manager for over a year, so I am very familiar with content creation and marketing through socials.

I have been in the service industry for 5 years now and worked a retail job for 6 years, both giving me excellent people skills as well as a strong ability to multi-task. I can make a pretty good cocktail too ;)

Growing up, my mom was always gardening and doing DIY projects for our house, such as painting/staining furniture, repainting rooms, etc., so I'm no stranger to dirt and a little elbow grease. I even have a little bit of a green thumb myself now, and an eye for repurposing.

I have multiple teachers in my family, so lots of experience assisting in classrooms, as well as tutoring in my own time. I excelled in most areas in school, particularly English and Math, and teaching comes naturally to me. I have also nannied and babysat quite a bit - I love kids!

I am an animal lover and have plenty of experience taking care of my own pets, as well as pet-sitting for others! I also have some experience with large animals as I grew up riding my grandparents horses and being around cattle :)

I played multiple sports growing up, and went on to play volleyball for my college. I work super well in a team and also love to coach! My best sports are volleyball and basketball, but I can play softball and a little soccer too.

Above all, I'm a quick learner, problem solver, and natural leader! I have confidence that I can excel in any environment, and take pride in my work ethic and ability to continuously grow and learn.

I am a beach bum at my core! There's nothing better to me than spending a day next to the ocean, with the sun beating on my face and a good book in hand! When I'm not able to sit with ten toes in the sand, I love to go out and chase a waterfall! Staying active in general is always fun to me, as I like to do most physical activity - hiking, working out, swimming, playing sports, dancing, or doing some yoga being among my favorites. I've tried my hand at surfing a little, but would love to get better at it. I also enjoy expressing my creative side by sitting outside writing poetry or spending time with a canvas and some paints, and always love a good board/card game or a puzzle with friends! I also thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking every once in a while - I used to dream of being a chef!
