Hi! My name is Yan. I’m currently living in a town close to Molde in Norway, where I study Outdoor Sports and Norwegian at a folkehøgskole.

I’m available to help during my school holidays:

I grew up helping my parents plant, grow, and harvest different kinds of crops, which gave me an early interest in farming. I’m especially curious about organic and sustainable farming practices.

At school, we go on outdoor trips almost every week, and I love being active in nature. I’m physically fit, hardworking, and happy to lend a hand with farm work, cooking, or any other indoor and outdoor tasks. I also enjoy hiking,climbing, biking, skiing, canoeing, and camping.

Traveling is one of my passions—I’ve been to Japan, Australia, South Korea, Sweden, Germany and of course Norway and this year I’m excited to explore more of Europe. I love connecting with people from different cultures, sharing life experiences, and learning new skills. I can cook Chinese food, and I’ve also picked up a few outdoor Norwegian recipes from my classmates.

I did my first Workaway at the beginning of October, and it was a wonderful experience full of learning and cultural exchange. I’m excited to meet more interesting people and hear their stories along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m physically active and enjoy hands-on work, both indoors and outdoors. I can help with gardening, farming, planting, and harvesting, as well as general household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and organizing. Growing up, I gained experience working on my family’s land, which taught me to be hardworking and adaptable. I’m also comfortable with outdoor activities and practical tasks such as carrying equipment, or helping with maintenance.
