Hi, We are Xavier Chen and Joanna. We are both 20 years old and come from Taiwan. Xavier Chen is currently a Finance major and Joanna study in Computer Science at National Tsing Hua University.

We are easy-going, open-minded, and enjoy social interactions. We love meeting new people, listening to music, and spending time in nature. We especially love beaches.

We consider ourselves adventurous people who believe in truly living life to the fullest. During our summer and winter vacations, we always look for meaningful experiences. We love traveling — not just short visits, but immersive stay where We can really experience the local culture and lifestyle. That’s why we believe working in exchange for accommodation is perfect for us.

Last summer, I spent six weeks volunteering in Tanzania, Africa. My fellows considered me a responsible and dependable person who always brought positive energy to the group. On the other hand, I’m also someone who enjoys having deep and meaningful conversations with others.Since then, I’ve been eager to explore another country and continue growing through new experiences.

Joanna
When I was 19, I studied at a language school in the Philippines for three months by myself. When I was 20, I went to Eswatini, Africa, for one month to teach local children about digital education. I really enjoyed spending time with others, especially teaching what I had learned in college.
I also worked at a guesthouse during my working holiday, and my colleagues considered me a reliable team member. Through these experiences, I realized that spending time with others is truly meaningful. As a result, I continue to look for more opportunities to listen to others’ stories.

We are looking forward to contributing, learning, and sharing experiences with our future host.
