Hello,

My name is Vittoria, and I’m a young literature teacher at a secondary school. I’ve just joined the amazing world of Workaway because I love discovering new places, meeting new people, and having meaningful experiences. I enjoy challenging myself and learning new skills.

I’m a very energetic person, eager to learn, do, and share what I know. I love being around people, especially children, and I truly value cultural exchange and making connections with others.

I come from Southern Italy, specifically from Monopoli — a beautiful land of delicious food, ancient olive trees, and the sea. My strong connection with my homeland and the sea inspires me to stay in touch with nature and reconnect with my roots, wherever they may be around the world.

Being surrounded by nature, the scent of greenery, and the sea breeze — that’s what I call life. And what better way to rediscover all of this than by traveling and immersing myself in new environments far from home?

I have many passions: I love reading, taking long walks, and recently I got my kayak license and open water diver certification — as I said, I really love the water, both on the surface and below.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking — making pizza, homemade pasta, and focaccia, all typical dishes from my culinary tradition. I love experimenting with new recipes and discovering different food cultures. For me, sharing a meal is more than just eating; it’s about sharing passion, culture, and stories.

I’m also eager to learn new hands-on skills: I’d love to try gardening, painting, building, and improving my manual abilities.

One of my goals is to improve my English — both for my future travels and possibly to move abroad in the near future.
I’ll be available to travel during the summer, especially in July and August, when school is on break.
