Description

Hi everyone! My name is Thomas, and I'm 24 years old. I'm originally from Argentina, but for now, I call Italy home. Since 2023, I’ve been solo-traveling, starting in New Zealand, where I had the incredible opportunity to work and explore the country for a whole year. I loved that experience so much that I’m now planning to explore Europe in the same way—focusing on connecting with the people and cultures of each country I visit.

For the past four months, I've had the chance to live and work in the south of Italy, but I’m now ready to continue my journey. I’d say I’m a creative, hard-working person who loves hands-on work. I pick up new skills quickly, and I especially enjoy crafting furniture and handmade items—something I’ve done before in Argentina, where I started a small project making wooden and iron furniture. I graduated from a technical school as an Aeronautics Maintenance Mechanic (where I picked up my interest in carpentry and welding), and I’m fluent in both Spanish (my mother tongue) and English. At the moment, I’m also working on improving my Italian (it’s basic, but getting better every day!). Being surrounded by nature is when I feel most at peace—mountains, forests, rivers, and lakes are my perfect environment. That’s why I’m drawn to the idea of working in rural areas, but I also enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

A little bit about me: I’ve been travelling since begginings of 2023 around New Zealand and Italy, doing several types of jobs related to farm, construction and hospitality, like working on the kiwifruit season at the orchard and after at the packhouse, also worked installing furniture at houses and offices, and now i’m working at a bar like barman/barista and sometimes a as waiter, those are some of the jobs I've had throughout my travels.

I have some experience with construction, using of manual tools, gardening, carpentry, welding, etc, as I’ve a technical background due to my studies and my previous jobs. I'm excited to pitch in, learn new things, meet new people, enjoy living and working in nature with animals, and be a part of your community. In addition to my practical skills, I hold a driver’s license and a forklift license, which I hope could be of use on your farm for tasks that may require moving materials or equipment.
