Hello my name is Toby I am 23 from Bournemouth, UK. I am an artist and enjoy painting large oil paintings. I studied Fine Art at Aberystwyth University in Wales where I graduated July 2023. I love nature, meditation and would like to learn yoga and ways of sustainable living and building. I am fascinated by history and culture, I enjoy hiking, swimming, camping, language , kayaking, surfing, exchange, cooking, dancing, music, animal care, meditation, connecting on a deep level to new people from all walks of life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have Workawayed before in an Animal Sanctuary in Greece. My skills include language exchange as I am a native English speaker, gardening skills, excellent vegetarian and vegan cooking ( I love cooking for friends and family and sharing food with others), practical skills quite good at fixing things, animal care, art projects and almost anything art related as this is my passion, technology and social media. I am a very fast learner and think creatively, I have excellent problem solving skills and I can be quite inventive. I have organised art trips with friends on my course at university, ran an art group at my job in a cafe. I have persevered through 5 years at university with covid and being diagnosed with ADHD so I am quite resilient.

I used to work at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, Wales where I was involved in a sustainable community . I am interested in Eco projects, growing food, mycelium and Earth/mud building. I am interested in cultural exchange and immersion in nature/ rural living. Meditation is very important to me and it is essential in my painting practice. I am making this trip to India and Nepal hoping to learn about new cultures and history, to practice meditation and quiet my mind whilst helping others and having a direct impact. I want to find new things to draw and paint and I will be bringing some paints with me. I would love to share my passion for art and share it's therapeutic effects with others.
