Hi, I’m Tobi :)

I’m always on the lookout for new experiences and, most importantly, great people and connection.

I’m deeply interested in restoring old buildings and objects, permaculture, gardening in general and ecological farming. I’m passionate about community building and finding sustainable ways to live in harmony with our planet. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outdoors. I love hiking, exploring and just being in nature.

People usually describe me as someone who’s always down for a laugh. I enjoy being part of a group, socializing and creating things together through co-creation. Through all my life I enjoyed working and having fun together with others so I know how community works and how to live together with all different kinds of people. Professionally, I’m an engineer in the renewable energy sector but I’ve also gained some hands-on experience by some projects like renovating my own flat and doing most of the work myself, working in vineyards or in forestation and gardening projects.

I love trying new things and learning step-by-step, wherever the journey takes me. Workaway feels like the perfect way to do just that, and I’m really looking forward to sharing some great moments and exploring together."

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- From heavy lifting to general site cleanup or organizing, I’m physically fit and happy to help wherever a pair of hands is needed :)
- I have practical experience in renovating my own apartment. This includes basic carpentry, painting, plastering, plumbing and electricity and using various power tools. I’m quite handy and can figure out how to fix or build things
- My professional background helps me understand complex systems and plan projects efficiently. Whether it’s a construction task or a technical problem, I enjoy finding logical solutions.
- I have a strong interest in permaculture and ecological farming. While I’m still learning the ropes in these areas, I’m a quick learner and very motivated to help with gardening, planting, or any outdoor eco-projects.
- I thrive in group settings. I’m a great communicator and love working together with others to bring a vision to life. I’m reliable, adaptable, and always bring a positive attitude to the team.
