Description

Hello, I'm Tina and here is a little bit about me.

The past four and a half year I've spent as a humanitarian worker in Iraq, Niger and most recently in Ukraine. Now it feels it's the time for a small break :).

Whether it's hiking through beautiful landscapes, wandering through busy marketplaces, or discovering hidden gems, I enjoy it all and also the unknown that comes with it. I've always loved connecting with people from different parts of the world, exploring new cultures, traditions and different ways of living. It brings me a lot of joy and it also helps me to better grasp the world we live in.

Making a positive impact is something very dear to me. I believe that lending a helping hand, even in the smallest of ways, can create a ripple effect that breeds kindness and compassion and that's something I sometimes miss in our world.

I am glad to be a part of the Workaway community and I'm very happy to embark on new adventures, to laugh, create shared memories, collaborate with and meet others, and contribute my skills to meaningful projects.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my time as a student, I actively volunteered and engaged in activities for children and youth. With other mates, we organised several summer camps and other social events in Slovakia and abroad. I also used to teach English :).

I studied International Relations (2017) and Humanitarian Practice (2021) in Denmark and the UK.

From 2020 onwards, I've been working as a humanitarian worker. I spent some time in Iraq, Niger, and most recently I came back from Ukraine.

During the winter season, skiing is something I really enjoy; in springtime, I find pleasure in hiking and running; throughout the summer, I prefer visiting places that are not excessively hot; and when autumn arrives, I take delight in engaging in cozy activities such as reading and playing board games :).

I thoroughly enjoy traveling whenever I have the opportunity, and lately, I have discovered a great joy in traveling with a campervan :).
