Description

I would like to travel, stay in new places, experience different sides of life, and at the same time pursue my creative and learning interests. If I can do this without just being a 'tourist', so much the better - having a purpose to work towards, and being able to help people along the way is what will make the experiences meaningful.
I've been teaching myself German for several years and have progressed to a good level, ideally I would like to practice through immersion by being around native speakers for extended periods.
I have been a photographer for several years, and I want to be able to capture as wide a range of life, places, and experiences as I can - not only as a tourist or holiday maker but hopefully also while being involved in worthwhile causes with like-minded people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked in some varied fields, in office environments, in customer service, and in more physical, manual work. I can do physical work for a reasonable amount of time. I can carry out many basic maintenance and 'housekeeping' tasks. I am very organised and diligent in all tasks I take on. I have reasonable IT skills. I am a good communicator and I work well in a team or alone. I am very proactive in finding ways to be useful

As well as getting in as much German practice as I can cram into my stay, and exploring the area, a big part of this trip for me would be documenting the experience photographically. I've been into photography for several years and have been traveling progressively further afield to pursue my passion. I would bring my full-frame DSLR, and I'd be more than happy to share any photos with the host or other work-awayers, (no charge). I could also do some filming, if anyone is interested in having video footage for their own use, although I'm not planning to make my own documentary - any photos I take would be purely for my personal collection.
