We love nature, wide open spaces, outdoor activities, animals!!! We practice sports too (hiking, swimming, dancing, boxing, yoga...)! We like convivial moments, shared meals, picnics and barbecues...

UPDATE Avril 2024 :

Now we are working in the sixth Workaway place in Bavaria, Germany.

During our workaways we worked on this:
- tree planting
- creation of a staircase from A to Z
- creation of a shed from A to Z
- lacto-fermentation, production of gingerbeer, syrup, soap...
- building a house for ducks, one for henz
- food processing
- mushroom picking and processing
- wood work
- cleaning the sheepfold
- feed dogs, chickens, cows and sheeps
- setting up a large greenhouse, working the soil and create beds
- sowing/picking/planting/maintaining/ watering/harvesting/selling vegetables
- making cuttings
- building an outdoor kitchen
- building fences
- slaughtering chickens
- working in the fields
- various outdoor works
- take care/train/ride a horse farm
- work in a dog kennel in lapland with 70 dogs (feeding, take care, train them, dog sleding, bring clients on tours, etc...)

Hello ! We are Méryl and Grégory, we can't wait to realize together our great trip in Europe!

OUR OBJECTIVE: We both come from different regions of France, but we lived together on a farm in Alsace on the German/Swiss border. We both studied environmental sciences and we are very close to nature and animals. Our aim is to meet, learn, and immerse ourselves in new cultures and working techniques in farm and construction projects.
We have common life goals: autonomy, nature, and getting back to our roots. We are counting on our long journey to learn as much as possible and to find the tricks and the way of life that we will adopt together, or even to find a new country of adoption! We are not afraid to get our hands dirty! We would like to make ourselves useful and learn how to build, renovate, plant/cultivate...

ITINERARY AND TIME : We would like to start our journey in Germany and his neighbors countries from 2024 begining, then continue through the south (Slovenia, Italy...), with no fixed return date!

Individual description :

Hello, I'm Méryl, I spent most of my childhood on my grandparents' farm, surrounded by animals, orchards and crops of potatoes, wine production, and so much more... So I come from the countryside in which I loved to work outside on various gardening and construction tasks. I have already made a first workaway trip to a Scottish farm where I took care of the chickens, the donkeys, the construction of an old stone wall, etc. I am passionate about dancing, video editing, yoga, boxing, photography, hiking and mountains.

Hi, I'm Grégory, I'm also from the countryside, since I was a little boy I spend most of my time on my best friend's farm, a farmer we help regularly. I work in the fields, but also in the breeding of heifers and the cutting of meat. I am very resourceful and handy, and I always find a solution to every problem. I'm also good with plants, we worked together on a large vegetable patch which we are very proud of. Finally, I'm a real cook! If you like to eat well, you can benefit from my cooking skills! I am passionate about music, thrills (canyoning, climbing), crossfit, cooking... and wine/spirits! Multitasker, I define myself as a real Alsatian Swiss Army knife!
