Hi, I'm Steffen, 37 years old from Norway.
I'm a adventurous person who's eager to discover the world and myself in the process. To connect with people on my travels is what I enjoy the most and I believe cultural exchange is one of the ways to solve many of the global issues we have.
I'm from a tiny coastal town in western Norway which reflects in my calm and contemplative personality.
I've taken 6 months leave from work to get a proper reset and I'm now travelling around and doing volunteer work in some form.
I have done wooff'ing in the past, working on farms and now I wanted to try out workaway and hope to have some great experiences where I get to exchange good energy, make good memories and new friends.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm educated a marine engineer with skills withing mechanics, maintenance, electrical. I'm quite pragmatic and pick up things easily. I grew up on a farm so I'm used to working and helping out. I also have recent experience from farm work within planting, harvesting, taking care of animals.
I'm a very structured and organized person and I find joy and pride in my work.
Working on a ship I'm used to communicating with international crew which creates a environment I enjoy very much, it's also a small environment which teaches you to respect each other.
I like to challenge myself with trying new things and I'm willing to learn within any field.
I have a passion for sustainability and environmentalism and I want to live a life that's in harmony with nature.
I like to cook and bake and enjoy time in the kitchen with exchanging experience and learning from each other.
I'm very fond of music, play guitar and sing a little.

Autres infos...

Many years ago I shattered my right foot, this never healed properly and gives me some swelling and pain after hard use. Very heavy lifting and whole days of continuous walking is unfortunately something I can't do anymore.
