Hello,
I am a second-year biology student in Paris. Although my studies are my passion, I wish I had more time for other discoveries. I love Paris, but I also dream of vast open spaces, mountains, and wild nature.
Even though I am new to Workaway, I have already participated in an international eco-construction project, which is one of my best memories. In my studies, there are many opportunities for teamwork, and I believe I am a good team player. I consider myself attentive, creative, organized, and serious in my work.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Right now, I am delighted by my little brother, Luciano, who is 8 months old. I also have a sister, Nina, who is 15, and a brother, Paco, who is 11. I love cinema, music—especially jazz, and piano—video games, astronomy, and art.
I value a healthy lifestyle: I don’t smoke, and I don’t drink alcohol. I practice weight training, running, and football, and I am mindful of my diet. Yet, I am passionate about gastronomy. I love discovering cuisines from around the world and am a real food lover.
My first name, Soulaimane, is of Arabic origin and means “man of peace.” My father is Moroccan, and since the age of 3, I have lived with my mother, who is French, and my stepfather, who is Portuguese from Madeira. Moreover, I have a great-grandmother of Italian origin who immigrated to France at the age of 4, as well as a great-grandmother of Ukrainian origin whose grandfather came from Sicily to Russia. This is truly a melting pot, an extraordinary mix, and I hope that with this beautiful multicultural heritage, I will grow into an open-minded, tolerant, respectful person eager to discover the world and experience different cultures.
I look forward to new experiences and meeting inspiring people through Workaway.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in several fields, including eco-construction, flooring installation, villa and guest house maintenance, garden care (plant maintenance, pruning, and cleaning), as well as retail sales and restocking in a clothing store. These experiences were always for periods of a few weeks.
I am used to working in a team and have previous volunteering experience. I am also accustomed to taking care of my younger siblings.
I am very interested in cooking, although I currently don’t have much time to pursue it. I do have some experience and would love to learn more.
