Hello! I am Sorcha.

I am currently looking for new experiences, and would love to help out with building/weeding/cooking/planting/painting etc. I have been working as a waitress the last couple of years in Copenhagen, and now I would like to discover the world of voluntarism and get out of city life and modern/fast pace daily structure of making money and serving companies/bosses. In stead I would love to learn about self-sufficiency, off grid living which is something I have experienced a version of already in my childhood.

I was raised on a farm out in the country on Fyn, Denmark, with British parents, and as the middle child of 7 siblings. We had all the farm animals you can imagine. I therefor have a natural love for animals, and the country and nature, and would like to get back to being outside and using my body and my hands being physical. I am very easy going, social and like to be around many people. I work well and hard, and I am a fast and enthusiastic learner. At the same time I value being properly instructed or introduced to tasks or work plans/ideas! I am especially good at detailed work that requires precision, dedication and a good eye.

The thing that motivates me is learning something meaningful and being able to see progress/development. It also motivates me to be surrounded by activity, things to do, positivity, creativity and respect. I enjoy cooking, running, swimming, working with my hands, painting, drawing and conversating. As of right now, I will be happy to just be anywhere else than where I come from, eat anything else than what I'm used to, and see something other than what I see everyday!

I am very artistic and creative - I draw and paint regularly at my atelier.
I am very interested and good at cooking!
I have lived on a farm growing up, so I am good at riding horses, taking care of animals, building fences, shelters etc, gardening and making herb gardens and vegetable plots.
I have recently taken a woodworking course, so I have basic skills in woodworking + a license to handle a handful of woodworking/carpentry machines.
I am a fast learner, good at listening and taking instructions and a hard worker!
I am good at writing, communicating and teaching in English.
