Hi! My name is Sofia, and I am turning 25 in August. I am going through a big career and life transition. I grew up in Portugal, in the beautiful city of Porto, and moved to London at 18 years-old to do a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Straight after graduating, I started working in a bank and continued there for 4 years. On paper, everything was going according to plan, but over time I began questioning the path I was on and the lifestyle that came with it...
In 2024, I spent 3 months living in India, through a short term assignment with the company. This period was crucial for me to start putting into question a lot of what I always took for granted. For the first time, I slowed down enough to reflect on how I actually wanted to live, rather than simply following the current of greedy ambitions and social pressure that had shaped my choices for years.
At the end of 2025, I spent another 3 months abroad, this time working in Hong Kong. Living in such an intense city, which embodies the capitalist lifestyle and values to a large extent, while also dedicating more time to reading, self-reflection, and personal growth, helped me gain even more clarity. I made my decision to come back to Europe and leave my job.

I am now back home in Porto, where I am taking Sculpture and Painting classes, while also learning French. I realised that the "success" I had achieved in my corporate career came less from the work itself, and more from my ability to connect with people, communicate, and build relationships. I would now like to use these qualities in a way that contributes positively to society, whatever the scale may be. I am excited to try different things, to do real and hands-on work, and learn new things that are more connected to people, nature and everyday life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Despite being in a corporate job for the last 4 years, I am a very hands-on person. I enjoy sculpture and painting, which I am taking more seriously now. I am very active, usually walking more than 15km per day, regular running, and playing tennis. I like to cook vegetables and try healthy versions of classic recipes (especially portuguese ones!).
I am happy to help with various tasks. I am not picky. Cooking. Sorting. Painting. Taking care of animals. Gardening and growing food (I would like to learn more).
