Hello! My name is Sofia, I’m 24 years old and I’ve just completed my Master’s degree. After several years of studying, I now feel the need to live a unique, meaningful and human adventure through travel and new encounters.

I’m a curious, reliable and cheerful person, always eager to learn and share. I love discovering new cultures, ways of life and skills. I also have an adventurous side: I adapt easily and enjoy taking on new challenges.

Passionate about East Africa, I studied Swahili for 3 years, which will allow me to communicate better and immerse myself more deeply in the local culture.

Through Workaway, I’m looking to contribute with enthusiasm to my hosts’ projects, while also gaining new skills and living authentic experiences.

I am eager to put my skills to good use in concrete projects while continuing to learn from my hosts.

I speak French and English, and I studied Swahili for 3 years, which helps me communicate more easily and integrate into multicultural environments.

I have explored many fields (sustainable development, circular economy, languages, the history of Tanzania and East Africa, life and earth sciences). This knowledge fuels my curiosity and strengthens my ability to adapt to different contexts.

I enjoy working with my hands and I am versatile; I take pleasure in contributing to all kinds of useful daily tasks.

I am motivated, reliable, and always ready to learn new skills, whether practical or intellectual.

Hosting a volunteer like me means welcoming someone trustworthy, dedicated, curious, and enthusiastic, who is ready to fully commit to your projects.
