I'm a 21-year old young woman from Denmark. I am very fond of traveling, I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures and experiencing new things. I have previously volunteered for one year in England working with people with learning difficulties, and for two months in Zimbabwe working with nature conservation. During my volunteering projects I lived closely with other young people and have found that I enjoy and thrive with this. I would like to experience some of the interesting countries I have never visited before.

I like spending time with my friends, baking, running and I enjoy being around animals. I like helping others the best I can, and I find that this brings me great joy and motivation. I plan to start my education to become a nurse this summer. I'm often told that I’m a positive and happy person, and I get along with most people. I am very hardworking and responsible person, and I always try my best with whatever I’m doing.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am experienced in cooking, cleaning and general household chores. I have grown up in a community that eats dinner together a few times a week, so I have a lot of experience cooking for 15+ people. While I volunteered in England, I worked with people with learning difficulties, I cooked for and with them and did other household tasks, like cleaning and washing, and fixed small household things, like broken doors and uneven chairs.
I have also a lot of experience taking care of kids. I worked in a kindergarten for 1,5 years, where I took care of the kids. I played with them, planned and participated in creative activities, like making fall and winter decorations. I also planned and helped with outdoor activities, like trips to the forest and lake and outdoor games.
While I volunteered in Zimbabwe I did a lot of outdoor work, both working with nature and with animals. For instance, I gardened, dug a hole for the compost, collected hay and grass for the animals to eat in the dry season, and I mucked out for different animals.
Danish is my native language, but besides this I speak English fluently, and understand Norwegian and Swedish.
