Hi! I'm Serena, a 26-year-old girl from Italy ☀️

I'm currently in a period of life where I have some time before starting my career, and I want to use it to challenge myself but also to create memories. It's a "now or never" kind of situation!

This will be my first solo adventure, and honestly, it is both exciting and a little scary! That's one of the reasons why Workaway feels like the perfect way to travel. I love the idea of staying with local people, helping out, sharing everyday life, and getting to know a place from a completely different perspective.

I'm easy-going, respectful, and curious. I enjoy meeting new people, and even though I can be a little shy at first, I quickly open up once I feel comfortable. I'm always happy to learn something new, I love animals and helping whenever I can. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I'm not afraid of hard work.

Back home, I enjoy spending time outdoor, going on adventures, going for walks, bike and skate rides, discovering new places, listening to music, reading, taking photos but also going to the gym for my calisthenics class and practicing with my folk dance group.

If you decide to host me, I hope I won't just be another volunteer passing through. I'd love to become part of your daily life for a while, help as much as I can, and leave with new friends and unforgettable memories.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I wouldn't say I have any particular professional skills, but I'm definitely not afraid of getting my hands dirty and learning along the way!

I regularly do cleaning and gardening at home, and I spent 6 years working at summer camps on an alpaca farm, where I helped with different everyday tasks and took care of the animals. I also helped a woman clear out her house before moving, so I'm used to getting stuck in and helping wherever needed.

I'm curious, practical, and willing to learn. Even if I don't already know how to do something, I'm happy to give it a try, listen, ask questions, and learn from the people around me. I'm not looking for a place where I can only do what I already know — one of the reasons I'm doing Workaway is to learn new things and challenge myself!
