Description

I’m Sare, 21 years old, currently studying Psychological Counseling at Boğaziçi University. Burak is 23, studying Tourism Administration at the same university. We are from Istanbul, and we met during our university years and fell deeply in love. We are both still continuing our studies.
Our greatest shared dream is to explore as many different corners of the world as possible.
Burak is a creative person who enjoys illustration, photography, and cinema. He also creates his own short comic books, combining visuals and storytelling in a unique way. So far, he has visited 45 countries, experiencing many different cultures and meeting amazing people along the way. There are only a few European countries he hasn’t seen yet, and I find his curiosity and openness truly inspiring.

As for me, I am deeply interested in psychology, mindfulness, meditation, and scuba diving. Diving, in particular, gives me a deep sense of connection with nature and calmness. For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places — it’s a form of spiritual exploration. Every time I meet kind and open-hearted people on the road, I’m reminded of how much beauty exists in humanity, and I feel a growing desire to meet more of these souls.
We both share a love for photography, cycling, swimming, and especially cooking! We truly enjoy preparing meals together and would be excited to share dishes from our culture with you. We believe food is one of the most heartfelt ways to connect with others.
We also both love spending time with children. Thanks to my academic background, I’ve received pedagogical training and had the opportunity to work with children through internships and volunteer programs. We are both patient, joyful, and always happy to engage in playful, respectful interaction with kids.

This year, we traveled together to the Czech Republic, China, and Azerbaijan. Visiting the Great Wall of China as a couple was, without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary and mind-blowing experiences of our lives.

Our dream for the upcoming month is to embark on a one-month backpacking trip across Europe. With our backpacks on and open hearts, we hope to experience this journey in the most authentic way possible — sometimes camping under the stars, sometimes living off canned food, and sometimes staying with kind and generous hosts like you.
We want to truly connect with local people, learn about the culture of each region we visit, and live the real backpacker life — full of simplicity, curiosity, and meaningful encounters.
As students, we’ve been saving up for this adventure by working part-time jobs. Now, we’re ready to take the leap and make unforgettable memories.

We’re really looking forward to meeting you along the way, helping out wherever needed, and sharing stories, meals, and smiles on this beautiful journey.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I (Sare) have strong communication and emotional intelligence skills, thanks to my background in psychological counseling. I’ve received pedagogical training and have hands-on experience working with children through internships and volunteer programs. I’m also skilled in mindfulness practices, which help me stay calm, focused, and empathetic in various situations.
In addition, I’m a confident swimmer and passionate about scuba diving — it’s a skill I’ve developed over time and one that gives me a deep sense of peace and connection with nature. I also love cycling and enjoy using it as both a practical way to travel and a form of relaxation.

Burak is highly creative — he’s skilled in illustration, photography, and visual storytelling. He creates short comic books and has a great eye for capturing unique moments through his camera. His studies in Tourism Administration also give him strong interpersonal and organizational skills, especially when it comes to engaging with different cultures and people. Like me, he’s also an experienced cyclist and enjoys long bike rides as a way to explore new places.

Together, we’re great at teamwork, problem-solving, and adapting to new environments. We’re responsible, curious, and open-hearted travelers. We also love cooking and can prepare traditional Turkish dishes, and we’re both physically active — always happy to help with outdoor or hands-on tasks like gardening, organizing, or child care.

Most importantly, we’re kind, respectful, and always eager to learn and contribute wherever we go.

Burak is deeply passionate about both board games and video games. In his free time, he enjoys designing his own games, often crafting unique mechanics and storytelling elements. He also takes great interest in creating the artwork for his games, blending his creativity with his love for visual design. For Burak, game development is not just a hobby but a way to express ideas, emotions, and interactive experiences.
