Hello there!
My name is Sara and I'm looking for my next adventure. I'd consider myself an introvert but once a conversation gets going I love to ask lots of questions. I make an effort to make people feel seen and understand that I care about what they have to say. I'm a healthy mix of a "Type A" and "Type B" personality. I enjoy planning and researching but I'm also laid back and don't stress if something doesn't go to plan. When I'm given a job I like to get it done properly and would say I go the extra mile to have it well done.
I grew up in a small town in Ontario, Canada and every now and then I feel a pull to get out of my comfort zone. Solo travelling makes me a feel so alive and I enjoy venturing into the unknown.
I look forward to connecting to hosts and fellow travellers!

Work experience:
Restaurant waitress, baker at a cafe, broccoli farm worker, interior/exterior painter (for homes and commercial buildings), marketing and graphic design work, hostel volunteer, and some odd jobs in the landscaping industry.

I am a quick learner with great work ethic and I strive to contribute a positive attitude to whatever setting I'm in.

We ended up being a good landing place for Sara after her previous adventure and it was a pleasure to share our home, pup and life with her. Sara has a cheerful attitude, is kind and thoughtful and a fit and hard worker. She is an asset where ever she lands next and we highly recommend her.

A fun and challenging experience! Working alongside so many cats was new for me but the balance between being around them and making individual/group projects was really nice. See that great smile on this girl? This is Sara's presence and demeanor. She was always happy and enthusiastic. She worked hard, enjoyed being around others and she was a team-player. Her painting skills were excellent and she surprised us with a beautiful hand painted cat themed surf board table for the sanctuary. We hope to see you again Sarah!
