Hi, I'm Sara! Welcome to my profile :)

I live in Switzerland, am 26 years old and studied education (kindergarten until third grade) to a bachelor's degree. I currently work as a substitute teacher for kids in the age of 4 to 10. For example, I replace teachers who are on maternity leave or who are sick over a longer time. The advantage is, that I can look into many schools in Switzerland. Also it gives me the flexibility to travel and see new areas and countries in between substitute jobs. I am a very patient person, which is very needed in my job with young children ;).

At the beginning of this year I spent two months in Indonesia to visit my aunt, who works and lives there. It was the first time for me visiting Indonesia - even visiting the continent of Asia! I was amazed by what I saw there, but I actually just saw a very small part of the whole country.I am very curious to explore also other regions in Indonesia and immerse in the culture and language. I am already speaking a little bit of bahasa Indonesia and I am very interested to improve my bahasa indonesia speaking- and understanding skills.

I love to sing and to make musik (I play the guitar, djembe and piano) and I also love to dance! I would love to get to know new traditional songs and maybe dances.
I am a very easy going person and love to learn new things. For example learning new languages and learning about cultures that are new to me. In such an interaction I also like to share about my culture and stories about my life openly.
Respect is something that is very important to me when I interact with people. I always treat my counterpart with respect and at eye level (no matter if it's a kid or a grownup). Also I am an open-minded person and don't judge anyone quickly.
I am interested in talking about interpersonally topics, culture, social justice and can interest myself basically about everything.

Also I love being outside in nature. Be it to hike, swim, meet friends, do outdoor sports or simply to read a book.

I would be open to any kind of workaway - Although I think a place where you can really immerse yourself in the culture (for example a school) and is not too touristic, would be a particularly good match :) .

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied education to a bachelor's degree in Switzerland. I am experienced working with children in the age of four to ten years old. As I am working as a substitute teacher, I have had insight in many schools in Switzerland.

I don't know if that is really a skill, but I am a very open-minded and empathetic person. I can be interested in almost anything and get involved in many new situations and experiences. I love to learn about new cultures and languages.
