Description

Hello! We are an Italian-English couple looking to fully immerse ourselves in some interesting and challenging work and to get to know the countries we visit through the lived experiences of local people. We are usually based in London but we have been travelling since March 2023 across Europe, Central Asia and now South East Asia, taking as few flights as possible as we are both environmentally conscious. Travelling and experiencing new cultures bring us a lot of happiness, and we have been particularly interested in learning about local solutions to the challenges posed by climate change, permaculture and sustainable living.
We both love hiking and being in the middle of nowhere, and a bit of hard physical work and exercise gives us energy and reward. We are fast and eager learners and can't wait to learn from this experience working together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Since travelling we have worked on eco-farms and farms following permaculture principles in Laos and Thailand, and have also done WOOFING (Working On an Organic Farm) in France in the past. We are not experts, but have gained experience in feeding the farm animals, planting vegetables, chopping wood, de-weeding, eco-building, water pipe and farming infrastructure and general taking care of plants and anything else that needs doing. At home in London we have a vegetable patch where we grow tomatoes, zucchini and various herbs such as rosemary and sage. We like to be outdoors and get our hands dirty!

We also have experience working with children. Ana worked for Save the Children for 4 years and Rory is a children's social worker, has been a scout leader and has experience leading groups with children. We are particularly interested in the benefits of outdoor activities and nature in children's development.

We also have experience in fundraising and communications for NGOs. Ana has 7 years of experience working for several INGOs including Save the Children and ActionAid in project management and business development. Ana has also photography skills which could help in advertising your farm/NGO.

We have several interests and are very curious about everything that has to do with current affairs, travelling and history. We love card games and are very keen photographers!
