Hi there!
I´m Ricarda, 21 years old, originally from Germany but living and studying in Spain right now. I´ve done a gap year with workaway in 2023/2024 after high school. That gap year and made me love traveling, learning languages and learning new things, getting to know new people etc. ... Since then i still love to join volunteering projects when i have time during semester breaks, the last two years i mostly used my worldpackers profile for that, which is why there is no new references from hosts on this profile since 2024... :-)

A little overview regarding my experiences and skills:

- fruit picking on farm in Slovenia 2025 (worldpackers volunteering)

- Seasonal job full-time working in a café in summer 2024

- help around the house + gardening (workaway volunteering in NZ 2024)

-caring for dogs and cats in an animal shelter
(4 weeks internship in 2021 in Germany, volunteered in a dog residence a few weeks in 2024 volunteering in a portuguese dog shelter since 2023, since 2025 also volunteeering in a spanish dog shelter weekly) --> interest in behavioural complicated dogs/dogs with agression problems

-writing articles at a local newspaper (2 week internship in 2022)

-helping out at a Pizzeria (my summer job in 2022 and 2023)
e.g. helping baking pizzas, selling Pizza to clients, preparing drinks

- caring for horses (also a little working with them)
activities like, e.g. mucking out, feeding (e.g. preparing hay-nets), helping repairing/building fences, ground work, riding

I enjoy meeting with friends, traveling, volunteering, go exploring cities, surfing, cooking together and spending time with dogs.

  some pollen allergy and house-dust allergy , but I can cope with those. Furthermore I use to wear gloves when in contact with cleaning fluids, since my hands skin tends to develop eczemas
