Description
Hello, my name is Nita from Kuantan, Malaysia. I have started my backpacking adventure since mid-December 2024. I would love to volunteer, learn new skills and willing to help my hosts with whatever I can.
I love meeting new people, learn about other culture and enjoy good conversation. I hosted a lot of travellers and backpackers at my home via Couchsurfing. I am passionate about the environmental conservation efforts. During my free time, I participated in the beach cleanup activity in my city. I also volunteered for the turtle conservation programs and mangrove planting which was a great experience.
I have an extensive experience for almost 20 years as an accountant/auditor and may help you with the bookeeping.
I was raised in the village and used to work in the rubber and fruit/vegetable farms since I was small. When I was younger, I did rubber tapping and collecting the latex for sale to help my parents. When I started working in the city, I normally go back to my hometown once or twice a month to visit my family. My late father left a rubber farm for me and we did replanting in 2016 and it will be ready to harvest in 3 years or so. My brother managed the rubber farm for me and I will go to the farm to plant the fruit trees, weeding, cutting down the bushes, etc when I am around. Sometimes I feel peaceful working in the farm, I could escape from the busy city life. I am happy to see if the trees growing well and produce the fruits seasonally. -
