Hello! My name is Rachel, I’m 29 and from the north of Scotland. I’m travelling around South America for a few months and would love to connect with hosts and stay for a bit longer to get to know places better and have the opportunity to make deep and lasting connections with lots of different people!
I have previously volunteered in hostels in Europe, and have worked within the hospitality industry for many years so have lots of experience in creating great experiences for guests, whether in hotels, restaurants, bars, or hostels.
While English is my native language, I speak both French and Spanish to an intermediate level and am very interested in continuing to improve and learn.
I really love staying in hostels because of the chance to meet so many new people - you never know who might come into your life and what they might end up meaning to you, something which I find so exciting and special.
I have previously held management positions in bars and hotels and as such am very reliable and trustworthy, and think I would make a great addition to any team!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Working as a childminder allowed me to develop great problem-solving skills and gave me experience of a position of responsibility.
Being part of a housekeeping team at Skibo Castle Hotel let me improve my team-work and communication skills, and also self-management skills in that I had to make sure I had enough time to complete all tasks assigned to me.
I play the piano, bagpipes and violin, which I have dedicated countless hours to in practice, and which allow me to be creative and have been a great way of meeting and interacting with new people.
I'm really in to baking, and especially cake decorating which is very intricate and requires great attention to detail, all skills which I transfer to whatever tasks I have to do.
