Hello! My name is Quinn and I have recently graduated from Carthage College with a degree in Geoscience. I am currently working as a waitress in my home state of Minnesota. I have joined Work Away to connect with new people and cultures and gain travel experience. Some of my hobbies include hiking, baking, and art projects. I'm a hard worker and have experience working at a summer camp, cooking, and taking care of kids, along with server experience at a restaurant. I'm looking forward to finding an awesome Work Away experience!

Hi, I'm Hallie! I'm currently a college student in Minnesota and am graduating in May with a degree in Environmental Studies. I will be doing the Camino de Santiago in June with my Mom and am hoping to jump right into a Workaway project after that. I joined Workaway because I think it provides the most amazing and unique opportunities for travel, culture, meeting new people, working in dynamic environments, and growing as a person. I'm very outdoorsy and I enjoy working outside. Some things I like are camping, art projects, music, traveling, animals, and anything nature related. I have experience in retail, food service, housekeeping/cleaning, some gardening, and as a summer camp counselor for kids. I'm a quick learner and I'm always open to new experiences. I can't wait to see where Workaway brings me!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Quinn - I have experience working in a kitchen and working with campers at a summer camp, I also have a lot of volunteer experience doing random tasks from teaching classes to building houses. The job I have spent the longest at is my waitress job at Perkins, where I have learned hard work and being able to multitask and have customer service.
Hallie - I have retail and customer service experience working at Target as well as experience working with kids at a summer camp. I have volunteer experience working with Special Olympics and food shelves.
Both - We have travel experience together from a previous WorkAway at Luccock Park Camp in Montana where we cleaned, cooked, and did outdoor maintenance. We have also traveled together to Argentina where we studied abroad for a semester and lived with a hostmom to learn Spanish.

Quinn and Hallie have been friends for 6 years now and really enjoy being in nature and traveling! We are hardworking, optimistic, and wanting to learn new things. Some of our favorite things include baking cookies, playing card games, and spending time with others.
