Bonjour!

I am Pierre, from France, only one experience as a WorkAwayer but a very good one in South Africa . I have spent my entire career in the IT field. Now, I would like to visit, discover, learn, meet people but not like a tourist, I prefer to live with local people. I like also be active and busy.
I love especially (almost) all sports and nature. Everything with adventure, maintaining good health, animals, action and learning. I still practice many sports: cycling, tennis, hiking, swimming, fitness, kayaking, sailing... So, I am still fit, healthy and tough.

I speak good English but I would like to improve myself.
I have worked several years abroad, for example in China. So I am used to managing on my own in an unfamiliar environment.

Just after started my retirement, I had completed an 8-month training in French pastry and I obtained the famous french diploma "CAP pâtisserie". So I can make for you or for your guests homemade French cakes like croissants or delicious chocolate or fruit cakes!

I like sales and contact with customers and people in general. I am good in organization and people says I have a good sense of humor. I also enjoy gardening (I learned from my father), tree care and DIY. I am very patient, curious, flexible, reliable, force of proposals, hardworking and enduring.

I would be happy to spend anything from 4 weeks to 2 months anywhere in the world. There is no real plan for me, do not hesitate to make any sort of suggestion or offer.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am active, playful. I like sports, I can organize tournaments, manage gym lessons, guide on bike or hiking... I like to discover, meet people, laugh and make people laugh. I am used to digital tools, I was project manager then IT team manager in a large French company. I also worked in Asia for several years which allowed me to refine my ability to adapt. I have a commercial sense. I worked very young in my parents' store. I love cooking, trying new recipes especially for desserts. I am caring and considerate of others. My father taught me gardening, we have always had a vegetable garden at home. I also cut wood for heating, I know how to handle tools.

I have just graduated in French pastry (June 2022), so, I can practice or teach people.
I competed in tennis, volleyball, swimming, football and kayaking. I continue to compete on road bike, mountain bike and tennis.
The problem of global warming and biodiversity worries me a lot. I hardly use my car anymore. I try to do everything by bike or by public transportation.
