  Description

  Hey! My name is Katie and I live in the Comox Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I recently moved here with my son and we are getting settled. We live very close to a ski mountain which is so fun in the winter, offering downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
  I am needing help with my 6 year old son. Mainly, it would be helping with him, taking him to local parks, baking, crafting, keeping him away from screens and trouble! Also I need some help with meal prep, cooking, laundry and dish washing. Its mainly light housekeeping around our home. If you love children, have experience working with them, are active and can keep up with a super busy 5 year old, this might be a perfect spot for you!

  We live surrounded by nature and love getting out to enjoy. Hikes, bike rides, ski mountain, are all around us and Vancouver
  Island is known for being an outdoor
  recreation haven. We would love to share
  this with you. A big part of Canadian culture is exploding the outdoors and when you stay with us, we will introduce you to many outdoor recreation experiences. We would love to teach you about our home and want to hear about where you are from also and what activities and cultural events you participate in. We will be going up to the ski hill most every week this winter and would love to have you join us so you can experience a Canadian winter! Abd we look forward to helping you practice so taking English and learning about your language.

  Childcare, housekeeping, meal planning, cooking. I would love to work together to plan meals, would love if you can also grocery shop for me if I am not able to get to the store, prepare some meals ( almost all vegetarian because my son is vegetarian) and clean dishes.

  We have a three bedroom townhouse and you would have your own room , it has a queen bed and it really sweet! We provide all linens ( cotton) and towels etc. As for food, I will be providing this for you, we usually eat cereal, toast, fruit in the mornings and for lunches sandwiches and soup. Dinners are open to chats for sure! We are mainly vegetarian so a lot of lentils, eggs, peanut butter etc. I can also cook some meat as I do not mind that at all.

  We are very close to a central bus line
  We are pretty quiet and have quiet hours of 9pm-7:30am.
  We would not be interested in anyone looking for partying etc, non- smoking, non drinking.
