Hi! I'm Pedro, from Portugal. I love to travel, spend time in nature, live in communities, experience different cultures and languages, meet new people, and have enriching exchanges.

From 2016 to 2023, I spent up to 2 months each summer in a community/farmstay in different places in Europe. For the past 2 years, I had to take a break from that sort of experience, and this summer I hope to get back at it, this time in Morocco!

After 1 week in Morocco at the end of May, where I had the chance to spend Eid Al-Adha with a Moroccan family (!!), I realized I had to come back to experience in greater depth the culture, the people, the language, the food, and the spirituality/religion. The Eid Al-Adha experience with my friend's family was so intense, and witnessing the way Moroccans still live an authentic and REAL life had such a profound impact on me, that I knew I had to come back!

This time, I am hoping to spend a couple of weeks closer to nature, getting to know locals and their culture and wisdom, getting lost in the colors and fragrances of souks, possibly making some visits to some important cities and towns as well, and hopefully getting more exposure to and learning more about the religion and spirituality.

If you'll be willing to share with me your home and life for a relatively short period of time, I will be more than grateful and happy to share a pair of helping hands, and any wisdom or knowledge that I may have gathered in my years.

I am very interested in learning new languages! Currently I speak 3 languages fluently and 1 more to a conversational level, but am always trying to learn bits from other languages. After 1 week in Morocco, I had already started to pick bits and pieces of Darija, I am hoping this time I will be able to build up on that!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I can cook, mostly vegetarian and fish. I have some experience with vegetable gardening as well, from previous experiences in communities and farms, and from a Permaculture Design course. I can do most household chores. I have studied engineering, so I also have some computer skills. I am working as a teacher, teaching English, Portuguese and Mathematics, so I can help you with that as well.

  I usually don't eat meat. I do eat fish, eggs and dairy though. But in Morocco, I might make an exception to that rule sometimes x)
