March - May 2025 I am looking for preferably a MAN or a COUPLE who would like to experience living on a beautiful Greek island and help out with gardening and maintenance. There is usually some sanding and painting furniture, help with gardening and planting, stacking wood, watering, feeding chickens and taking care of the coop etc. If a couple I expect a little help with light cooking, especially for yourselves if you want to eat pasta etc and kitchen duty once a day.I do have a dishwasher ;)
In the house at the moment are only myself, and my mother. I usually have workawayers end of APRIL and MAY and then mid SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER.
I DO NOT have helpers during the summer because I have Bed and Breakfast guests.
We offer room and board, the opportunity to learn Greek and/ or Italian or English. We are English/American but speak Greek and Italian as well.We are Christians. There are plenty of activities on the island, a gym, exercise classes, Greek dancing and walking trails.
We eat all natural food, no processed food at all!!
You will have lots of free time to go to beaches and go out in the evenings, it WILL seem like a holiday!!! I look forward to hosting you,
By the way, there is a boat company which leaves from Volos to Alonnisos. There is also another company that has a bus which leaves Athens and goes to Mantoudi, Evia and from there is a boat that is only 2 hours from Alonnisos and cheaper also.

Here there are Greek dance classes and also yoga and a gym to work out in. There are many footpaths for walking around the island to visit secluded beaches and tiny churches, boat trips that visit secluded parts of the island and neighboring islands, one with a monastery. It is also the home of the seal Monachus and there is a male seal 2 years old called Billy that likes people and visits the beaches..

You will have your own room. There are many terraces and hammocks all over for relaxation. Your room is the coolest in the summer , and it's great for one guy or a couple.

Alonnisos is a beautiful island, part of the Sporades and the main area of the National Marine Park, where the monk seal is protected. It has beautiful beaches and the cleanest water ever!!!

Andrew stayed at my house for quite awhile, he actually came twice... He was a good communicator and was conscientious about his work. He would get up early to get the work done which I appreciated. He took care of the chickens, did garden work and sanding and painting furniture.

Amy’s place truely is amazing, located in a very quiet area on the hill overlooking the sea and only a 15min walk into town. We usually had lunch all together with Amy, her husband and her mum ,her brother in law (the chef in the house!) and her daughters families.

Ben and Jessika were great! They did a lot of work, stacking wood, caring for the chickens, putting away all the summer furniture, sanding, painting. For their age they are very experienced. Ben knows how to fix anything and Jessika is also strong and an amazing wood chopper.
