Hello!

My name is Kate, I'm 29 and from Scotland. I am travelling to Canada and then onto New Zealand.

I've grown up in the Scottish countryside, helping out with weeding, planting, chopping and stacking logs, painting, sanding, digging - general grunt work which I now find quite satisfying! I enjoy some physical work that you can finish the day and see your progress. I am interested to experience how other people work and live differently.

I would love to get opportunities to learn as much as I can about growing food, building or home maintenance, anything mechanical or trades and a self-sufficient lifestyle! I only speak English but an introduction to a new language would be great!

I like meeting new people and getting to know them and their worldview, but also like to have some downtime on my own, walking or reading.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My job experience had been mostly hospitality, some time at a fruit farm, and small tech repair (mostly mobiles). I've also done some volunteering with animals as well as a lot of pet sitting (dogs and cats). I work well with others but also like to just be assigned my jobs for the day and work away myself at that.
Not shy of physical labour but don't have any trade skills like carpentry, mechanic etc but would really love to learn so I can understand what we're using/living in the world so I can become more self-reliant
