Hi all!
My name is Alessandro and I am originally from Padova, in Italy. I have, however, spent the past 9 years in Germany, split between Cologne and… well... “somewhere near Munich”. In life I like to approach everything with a lot of enthusiasm and dedication. I am a positive and outgoing person, but I also value being very respectful and considerate when interacting with others.
IT (and surroundings) is one of my biggest passions, and in my free time I like tinkering around with old computer parts and cheap components, trying to make the best out of them. Lately this has made my home network develop into something charmingly intricate… or rather unnecessary, depending who you´d ask. The same enthusiasm also goes in my job, where I team up with my colleagues to prevent black hat hackers from succeeding in their nefarious activities. I am a threat analyst.
When I'm not immersed in technology, I enjoy wandering and cycling in nature. A lot. Exploring what the world offers – be it beaches, mountains, forests or fields, and places which are sometimes just 5 minutes from home... – is always a unique and very rewarding experience. My love for exploration, however, also attracts me to scout any sort of man-made, artificial environment: cities, buildings... and abandoned places.
Exploration of course is not necessarily a solitary endeavor, on the contrary! Socializing and being part of a group is a joy for me, as I truly like connecting with people from different backgrounds and looking for a sense of common purpose. Sharing stories, experiences, and learning from one another is one of the things which makes life feel special.
Speaking of projects to make lives or the world a little bit better, I'd love to contribute to causes that either unite people, fostering a sense of community, or allow to be in contact with nature, for instance supporting environmental preservation, agricultural projects or the well-being of animals.
My next volunteering project won´t actually be my very first one. A few years ago I participated as a volunteer in a month-long Space Analogue mission in the desert of Oman, having both educational and research purposes. The team, our team, was simply amazing! I also liked how every participant needed to support the functioning of the camp and contribute to the success of the mission covering pretty much every role on a rotational basis - including cleaning and cooking. Such an unforgettable experience!
And now... I truly look forward to the next one, to roll up my sleeves and just do my best!Langues parlées

I would be happy to do several things, which can be valuable to different kind of projects and activities.
With respect to IT and technology, I can support with configuring and deploying equipment, or do troubleshooting in case of problems.
Furthermore, I can help with hands-on activities, some small repairs, supporting logistics or tasks like construction, gardening or caring of animals. Of course, depending on their complexity, I might need some guidance and support to complete these task.
Last, I would be more than happy to contribute to hospitality activities, or provide support in the kitchen, creating a welcoming environment for everyone involved.Âge
