  Description

  We are a family of 8 - grandparents (Torsten/67 und Manu/66), parents (Hinnak/40 und Luise/37) and the children (Klara/14, Erna/12, Oskar/9, Lore/6) - most time of the year traveling through different countries in Europe ... but sometimes in summer we like to spend time at our home base in Germany - in a big house with a large garden.
  
  Our village is located near Hamburg, not far away from the river Elbe and from the North Sea, surrounded by fields and small forests.
  
  The main project in June 2026 (when only Manu and Torsten will be at home) is
  Renovating some rooms within the house (means rearranging furniture, painting walls, etc.)
  and clean up the garden (Cutting bushes and hedges, caring for shrubs, mowing the lawn, pulling weeds,...)
  
  In July 2026, when the family (Hinnak and Luise and the children) arrives, we also need help with the household and activities with the children (cooking/ baking/ cleaning up/ playing/ educational projects like e.g. learning new languages).

  We take you into our family and share our family life with you. So you can experience typical lifestyle in a german family. We like good conversations with our guests and share as many meals as possible. You can practice German language with us.

  In the past years, we had help from different lovely guests. Sometimes it was more playing with the children, or building a porch, or cooking, or helping to prepare a party or help in the garden or painting walls ....

  Hébergement

  A furnished room is available for you in our house. You share the bathroom with Hinnak, Luise and the children. (in the month of June you will share it with some students, living at this time in the flat of Hinnak and Luise)
  You have the opportunity to share meals with us at any time or to prepare something yourself in the upper kitchen (we have two kitchens).
  
  You will be accepted as part of our family with us, but you will also have the opportunity to withdraw in your room.

  We live in a small town near Hamburg, not far away from the river Elbe and from the North Sea, surrounded by fields and small forests. You can go to Hamburg by train within 35 minutes, have a trip to the north sea by train or take a bike trip to the Elbe.
