Kia Ora, I am a 24 year old all the way from little New Zealand. After working for two years straight from university, my time has come to take a step back, explore the world, experience other cultures and hopefully gain some lifelong friends!

I love visiting new places, taking film photos and meeting new people from different backgrounds. I find getting the chance to talk to friends or strangers about their passions really interesting as I enjoy getting to understand what makes people happy. I have a passion for being outdoors while exploring new spots, whether it's through hiking, cycling or camping. I value the time I get to spend with my friends and am a true believer of the effort you put in to friendships will be returned.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have just finished working for a little over 2 years as a graduate Mechanical Engineer at a furniture design studio called Formway. During my time there I did a mixture of hands on work and computer based work. The company has an extensive workshop so I was lucky enough to learn many practical skills while using a variety of tools and machines. I am confident with hands on work and excited to be able to help out in this area :)

Prior to this, I have done several engineering internships.

During the summer of 2020-2021 I worked for a renewable energy company called Mercury and was based at one of their hydrostations. This was a great opportunity as I was able to work with range of people from different backgrounds on some large scale projects. During the summer of 2019-2020 I worked for a small aviation company, where I was primarily doing mechanical design work.

Other than these, I have had many odd jobs along the way including landscaping/gardening (my mother is a gardener), tiling, hospitality, cleaning and warehousing work.

Oops I covered my main hobbies in my profile description but to reiterate, I love being outdoors in the form of camping, hiking and cycling. I enjoy taking photos of people in general, I like to think of this as a fun creative outlet.

I have also been skateboarding for almost 10 years but this may take a back seat while I travel around :)
