Description
I am a Spanish girl looking for some volunteer job in the fields of education, languages or touristry industry preferibly, but I am up for any new challenges!!

I did Psychology and Education at University and I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I have plenty of experience teaching languages to people from very different backgrounds (refugees, SEN, children, teenagers, adults...), in very different contexts (schools, families, private tuition...) and countries (Spain, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Perú...). Also, I have my own resources to work with. Please, check my feedback for previous workaways references.

Soy una chica española y me gustaría realizar trabajo voluntario en la industria turística o el mundo de la educación o los idiomas, pero estoy abierta a cualquier nuevo desafío.

Soy licenciada en psicología y educación y hablo español e inglés de manera fluida. Tengo mucha experiencia enseñando idiomas a personas con muy diferentes bagajes, desde refugiados y migrantes hasta personas con discapacidad, pasando por niños, niñas, personas adultas y adolescentes. Además, he enseñado en diferentes países (España, Reino Unido, Nueva Zelanda, Perú...) y múltiples contextos, desde los más formales en escuelas de primaria y secundaria, hasta entornos más informales como las academias o la tutorización de niños en familias. I am a very down to earth person full of energy and initiative. I am a responsible and committed worker and I have years of experience in the fields of education (teaching languages mainly) and childcare. Also, I am good dealing with people and I am passionate about learning new skills and facing new challlenges. I like reading, outdoors activities, cultural exchange and cooking.

To volunteer at here was a great gift.

The place is very hot&humid but peacefull and beautiful. It is far away from everything so allows you a bit of "desconnection" from the urban world,however, Iquitos city is easily accesible if you are in need of something. I shared a room with another volunteer and had plenty of time for myself (go for a… read more walk or a swim, play volleyball or badminton at the lodge, play football at the village, read, write...). The work is very easy and straight forward (welcome guest, deal with emails&bookings, translate when needed, help out guest in aything they may need...).

I was very lucky to share my time at the lodge with another 3 awesome girls and together we did some community work at the village school, which was a great experience that we hope it can keep on running.

Three meals per day are provided and you can join the tours on offer if you want to. Staff working permanently at the lodge is very helpfull, nice and funny. Clari, the cook, is a wonderful chef and Olmes, the manager, a very genuine guy who will make you laugh for sure.

Overall, it was a great experience and a highly recommended post to volunteer.

Ser voluntaria en el lodge fue un auténtico regalo.

El lugar es muy caluroso y húmedo pero también tranquilo y bonito. Está alejado de todo, lo cual te permite un poco de desconexión del mundo urbano, sin embargo, la ciudad de Iquitos es fácilmente accesible si necesitas algo. Compartí habitación con otra voluntaria y tuve mucho tiempo libre para disfrutar (pasear, nadar, jugar volley o badminton en la red del propio lodge o fútbol en la aldea, leer, escribir...). El trabajo es muy fácil y sencillo (recibir huéspedes, encargarse de responder emails y administrar reservas, actuar como traductor y, en general, ayudar a los huéspedes en todo aquello que puedan necesitar...).

Tuve la suerte de compartir mi voluntariado con otras 3 chicas asombrosas con las que inicié un proyecto comunitario en la escuela de la aldea, algo muy gratificante que esperamos pueda continuar con la ayuda de próximos voluntarios.

Se sirven 3 comidas diarias y además puedes unirte a los tours que desees. El personal permanente del lodge es muy amable, simpático y divertido. Clari, la cocinera, es una excelente chef, y Olmes, el manager, una excelente persona y un verdadero showman.

En general, fue una gran experiencia totalmente recomendable!

I was a volunteer for nearly 4 months in Santa Fe. It was my first experience with WA and I couldn´t think of anything better.

I had my own bedroom in a separate flat with a private bathroom (shared with other volunteers if there is any) and all commodities (WIFI, Aircon, fridge, desk, wardrobe).
