My goal is to broaden my horizons and impove as a person. I would love to travel to places I have never been before and make new friends.
I love being in nature. Going on hikes, mountaineering, swimming in the ocean, sleeping under the stars with my family, my friends or alone. Adventures call to me, and I feel most alive when I´m outside.
I live in Germany, but have spent three years living abroad in Nepal. So, I basically grew up speaking English. I am a passionate reader, mostly of fantasy books and I love dressing up for medieval fairs. I am creative, love cats and coffee and have a strong interest in ancient languages.
I just graduated from high school and am currently taking a gap year. Still a bit unsure which way my life will be headed, I want to use this time before I start studying next fall, to experience as many new things as possible.
I have always felt strongly about our environment and the way our planet, eco systems and animals suffer beneath climate change. I believe that we have to fundamentally change the way we treat nature, animals and each other and that every one of us should contribute to try to make a difference for the better.
I am open-minded and get along quickly with new people. I can adapt to new situations well and am ready to work hard and give my all.

I have a strong passion for languages and am even thinking about studying something in that field. Especially ancient languages hold a facination for me, Latin was always my favourite subject during school and I learnt Ancient Greek as a hobby. Elvish from Lord of the Rings is next. :) In regards to modern languages, I only speak German and English. These however, fluently and I might be able to teach them. Furthermore, I know some basic Italian. To what I am interested in learning. The answer is everything. I would love to improve my Italian, but I think all languages are worth learning and I would love to pick up at least the basics.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am quite a practical person and love using my hands to be creative. There are few art techniques I haven´t had a go at, with a more or less successful outcome. :) From sewing an apron for my mum and a medieval linnen kirtle, oil painting, forging a sword ( not by my myself) and making a leather sheath for it to origami paper folding, jewelry making, cutting my own hair since I was 14, building a minature boat in a bottle, designing and making historically acurate roman armour out of cardboard, sculpting with clay, woodworking, etc. I generally go by the motto, learning by doing. Moreover, I am always open to learn new skills and love finding solutions with creative ways. I am a quick learner and will soak up knowledge like a sponge.
Furthermore, nearly every vacation with my family has been more of an expedition than a relaxing time out. From hiking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path this summer, cycling through the Lofoten islands, sailing in the Baltic Sea, mountaineering in the Swiss Alps to canoeing in Sweden, to name just a few examples. I know my way around a camp site, love sleeping in tents and have had my share of long days, cold nights, rough weather conditions and few food supplies. You can always depend on me in tough situations. I love facing the elements and being vulnerable and dependent on nature for a change. When I was 16 years old, I slept alone in the woods for the first time. The knowledge that sometimes you can face your fear and make it on your own, helps me even in my day-to-day life.
Even though making it together is a lot more fun. I am a good team player and usually get along quickly with new people. I can do what I´m told and am ready to pull my weight when it comes to cooking and cleaning.
I am good with animals, especially cats. ( We had six or seven when I was younger.) I have some experience with horses and am not afraid to get my hands dirty in the garden.
I was trained as a school paramedic.
