Description
Hi! We're Monika & Tori — together, we’re mori (森), a duo made up of a Polish horticulturist and a French-American (but mostly international) landscape architect.
Monika: With a background in Philosophy (BA) and Horticulture (BEng), I'm passionate about regenerative agroforestry (syntropic agriculture) and exploring innovative approaches to food production. I also work as an English tutor and genuinely enjoy teaching kids and teenagers. I've practiced Taekwon-do ITF, kickboxing, and played football—until I burned out chasing a pro dream that was never truly mine. These days, I take things slowly, more intuitively and enjoy movement in many different forms (especially climbing trees and dancing).
Tori: I’ve spent the last 3 years studying and practicing Landscape Architecture (MLA), but know that to really understand plants and the intricate relationships between them, you must work with the earth directly. I have been looking to apply what I’ve learned as a designer in a practical, hands-on setting. I’m particularly interested in regenerative planting design (and take a lot of inspiration from designers like John Little, James Hitchmough and Nigel Dunnet). I’ve run workshops on composting, have designed aquaponics systems, have done some wildlife conservation work, and routinely help my mom with her mushroom foraging and DIY cosmetics using herbs from her garden.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Monika: garden design, plant identification, observation skills, pruning, vegetable production, plant nursing, orchard maintenance, composting, water harvesting (everything that involves gardening), bushcraft, tutoring.
Tori: masters-level understanding of ecology / soil / landscape design / graphic design; composting; aquaponics; painting; model-making; tree planting. I've worked in the field as a wildlife conservationist, have stayed with host families in Kenya, and done yearly hiking trips to remote areas since a young age so I'm very comfortable in most environments.
