Hi, I'm Dries.

I'm a calm and warm person, and quite curious about life. I like to take things slowly, to notice the small things and to be where I am.

The last couple of years I've been doing a lot of inner work, learning to live more from presence and less from my head. I'm fascinated by consciousness: what we really are underneath all the thoughts, and how awareness can change the way we live and relate to each other. I read and listen to a lot of books on this, often while walking. It has changed how I look at myself and at other people, with more openness and less judgment. I always enjoy a good conversation about this.

Right now I'm in a transition. I'm stepping out of my normal routine to live more simply and follow what feels right. Scandinavia has been calling me for a long time. I'd love to live close to nature there, with the forest, wildlife, the silence and a wood stove, and just let the days have a natural rhythm.

What makes me happy is quite simple: a walk in the woods, a swim in cold water, a sauna, a good book, cooking together, a real conversation at the kitchen table. I like to be useful, especially with my hands, like chopping wood, building something or fixing what's broken. I enjoy my own company and need some quiet time to recharge, but I also value warmth and connection.

I'm curious about how other people live, what keeps them grounded, and the small habits and rituals that make a home feel like a home. I'm fascinated by old traditions and old buildings too. I love the stories they carry and the craftsmanship that went into them. I come to learn, to help and to share.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I already have several experiences I'd like to bring with me.

I've been a firefighter-paramedic for 12 years now. This job requires working in a focused way and acting properly under pressure. Maintaining the equipment and the fire station is also part of it.

Before that, I served in the army. It taught me discipline, teamwork and how to stay practical and positive in basic conditions. I've also worked at events, building up and breaking down, and helping wherever needed. I'm used to long days, physical work and working together as a team.

Besides this, I also develop websites and web apps.
