Description
Hello! We are new to Work Away and are ready for adventure! We are thrilled to have our first adventure on the books! My name is Melissa and my husband, Dan, has his eyes on retirement in the near future. We have 3 grown daughters and our first grand-baby is to arrive soon! We were both born & raised in Saint Louis, MO. I am a former first grade teacher, nanny, but was primarily a stay at home mother. Dan is a software engineer, but his real joy comes from fixing things and working with his hands. The whole scope from houses to cars.... You name it, Dan can probably fix it! Dan enjoys flying in his free time and my passion is to learn and live a healthy lifestyle, anything related to this is of interest to me from yoga to organic gardening.
We are happy to help with animal care, as have both had pets most of our life. Taking care of pets would help fill our current void.
We are ready to get out and experience what "matches" the world has to offer!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Most of my time has been spent raising and influencing children. I was a stay at home mother of our 3 now adult daughters, a first grade teacher for 7 years, and a nanny for 8 years. Recently, I held a seasonal position as a concierge for a high end Lodge at the Inns at Saint Albans. On the side, I thoroughly enjoy selling things, both big and small, ranging from household items to residential and commercial property. I love learning and enjoy a good challenge. Currently, my passion is high to learn about organic farming.

I love to spend time outside, whether biking, hiking, walking my dog, playing tennis, trying to rollerblade with my daughter, going on a picnic, etc. I'm always up for a good game of ping pong, chess, scrabble, a game that makes us laugh, or really most any game. Researching and investigating also occupies my time. I pretty much like to do most things unless they involve heights or a lot of sitting. Watching TV is something not enjoyable for me, but I do enjoy a really good movie on occasion. I eat healthy and try to take the best care of myself.
