Description

We are Micky and Frankie, we joined Workaway last year and spent an amazing winter living in the most remote part of mainland UK and the Outer Hebrides.

So far we have met some lifelong friends and made some amazing memories, working on a fresh produce farm, prepping their polytunnels and at Callanish alpacas where we worked on a family run charity farm looking after a range of animals that were rehomed, rehabilitated and rescued. We were also looking after birds of prey and other general farm livestock.

Our next adventure was back in England, working at an equestrian centre in Milton Keynes, this was a massive culture shock to say the least! We stayed there for 6 weeks until we were offered a full time job on an intense milking farm In the heart of Devon.

We have been here 6 months now but we are now more than ready to go back to finding our work through this app. We would be interested in both short and long placements and can put our hands to most things thrown our way.

We can’t wait to meet more amazing people, learn and live our dream of embracing different lifestyles, cultures and communities.
We like to think of ourselves as a very happy, high energy, positive couple that get along well with anyone we meet.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As a couple, we have nearly a years experience working alongside a range of different farm animals and farms.

Micky has been a landscaper for the previous 7 years and has a general understanding of the building trade also. Very hard worker and always up for a laugh. Very selfless.

Frankie is an absolute gem. Will brighten the room with her personality and get along with anyone, everyone loves her when they meet her. Very into her house plants. Is a manager of a garden centre. Overall beautiful soul. Frankie was a manager at a well known garden centre for 3 years prior to the travelling, before this worked in various hospitality roles and was a professional dancer. As well as a lot of experience working with horses and riding.
