Thanks for taking the time to read my profile!

I’m Michele, originally from Florence, Italy. I’m a hands-on, versatile person into DIY projects. I used to run a small welding business and have worked in a variety of hands-on jobs over the years. I’m naturally curious, always learning and building new skills, while keeping a focus on presence, intention, and simplicity in daily life.

I’ve lived in several countries and travel often. I’ve been a host as well in my hometown, and comfortable sharing spaces with others.

I’m an active and energetic person, but also calm, respectful, and polite. I feel at home in nature and around animals, as I spent part of my childhood in a farm with my family. Physical work doesn’t scare me, and I enjoy contributing in a practical way.

During my Workaway experiences, I’d love to learn new skills, possibly related to music, drawing, artistic activities, or mindfulness practices — but I’m open to many kinds of projects and happy to move out of the comfort zone.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I started working at 13yo in multiple enviroments which naturally made me a solution-oriented and practical person.

I’m comfortable using a wide range of tools and have hands-on experience across multiple fields. I’m familiar with chainsaws and general gardening tools, have good knowledge of mechanics, and can drive and perform repairs on tractors. I also have wide experience with welding (TIG, stick, and MIG/MAG).
I’ve worked in construction with concrete, painting, glass, and basic electrical tasks, and overall I consider myself very handy and fast at learning new skills.
I’m also tech-friendly: comfortable with computers, AI and basic troubleshooting.


For anything I don’t know yet, I’m always happy to be shown and enjoy improving.
