We are planning to go travelling between August and December 2025. We are not set on particular destinations yet, but anywhere in Europe and perhaps further afield too!

Hi! We are Melissa and Rayyan, a 20-year-old couple from the UK. We have both just graduated from university (June 2025), and are hoping to go on some adventures together for the rest of the year!
We both love nature, animals, camping, and meeting people from different cultures. We are both very hardworkers, who have had full time jobs alongside our degrees, so are very willing and able to help out on all different kinds of fun workaway projects!
We are both non-drinkers and non-smokers, who much prefer spending time in nature, playing games and having cool, unique experiences to being in a club or bar.

Hello, I'm Melissa. I have recently completed an undergraduate degree in philosophy. I love learning new facts and skills, and having interesting conversations with people about life, politics, religion and nature. I am very friendly and chatty, always up for a debate or heartfelt conversation!
For 2+ years I have been teaching myself all about the environment and sustainability, and do my best to implement eco-conscious practices into my life.
I am a massive animal lover (especially dogs and elephants!), and an experienced dog walker. I am a very creative person, with far too many hobbies to count including reading, sewing, knitting, crotchet, jewellery making, and more!

I have recently reverted to Islam, and am excited to explore the world at the same time as expanding my faith! I am currently starting to learn Arabic, and would love some help with this, as well as any other languages really. I am sharing my journey and daily life on social media, as well as videos which raise awareness about environmental conservation. I hope to expand this into a career in factual television or writing.

My favourite part of a past workaway was getting to know my lovely hosts, their culture, and becoming a part of the family! I hope to experience this again in all parts of the world!

Hi, I'm Rayyan. I'm British, but my family is from Mauritius. I have a bachelors degree in psychology, and after taking some time out to travel, I hope to continue my education to become a Child Wellbeing Practitioner. I have two years of experience working in social care for adults with learning disabilities.

In my spare time, I enjoy running and football. I have already completed two half marathons, and hope to start training for another very soon! I love to explore new places and nature on my runs.
This year I did my first skydive, and am looking for more exciting experiences like this before 2025 is over!

I am very interested in all different cultures, and my favourite part of visiting new countries is trying the different food and drinks! I am fluent in English, French and Mauritian Creole, and am currently studying Spanish and Arabic.

We have both worked for an English language school in the past, so are very happy to help out with English language skills. Rayyan speaks fluent French and Mauritian Creole, and beginner level Spanish. I would like to improve my French, and we are both studying Arabic, but we are very open to learning any languages we can!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We have both worked as activity leaders and tour guides for an English Language School, so have experience in helping people improve their english speaking skills, and in teaching them about english history.

Melissa:
I am an experienced dog walker and dog sitter. I have also worked with outdoor huskies on a previous workaway. I have also had cats my whole life.
I have four years of experience in hospitality as a bartender, waitress and event supervisor.
I am good at cooking and baking - I love experimenting with different homecooked meals, especially seafood, soups and Italian.
I can sew and knit - I made handmade curtains and matching cushion-covers for my previous hosts who were renovating their house. I also helped them with renovation works including painting outdoor furniture, revamping a greenhouse, wallpapering and designing a room layout.
I have interned as a researcher at a Documentary Production company, so have proficient computer based skills including Excel spreadsheets, basic video editing and AI prompting.
I am currently growing my following on social media, so can help out with any online marketing.
I am teaching myself all about sustainable living, so would be happy to help anyone implement eco-conscious solutions into their lifestyle!

I am fully trained in first aid.
I have two years of experience in social care, particularly working with adults with learning disabilities.
I have two baby brothers, now aged 2 and 4, so have good knowledge and experience in caring for young children.
I am good at assembling furniture, and basic DIY home rennovations.
I also enjoy cooking a wide range of dishes from different countries.
I play football, which I could teach to young people interested in sports.
