Hello! My name is Melissa, I'm from the Netherlands (Europe), and I'm an enthusiastic traveler exploring the world. I'm a hard working engineering student but also enjoy the flexible lifestyle. I like traveling, outdoors activities and learning new things. I love to meet new people and make friends all over the world!

I like to hang out with friends, read a good book and to go swimming (outdoors in the lake or sea) in summer and ice skating in winter. And I try to keep up with learning a new language, depending on how much time I have left ;)
I also really like my (student)job as a teacher and tutor in high school; it's a very humbling and inspiring experience to teach different classes.

I have some experience with volunteering before, for example I stayed in the desert with a very kind family helping out with their B&B and helped in a local community centre in South-East Asia.

What I like most about these experiences is to go to place you would otherwise not go to, meet local people and to learn from each other. The same holds for hosting others in my place or for being a local friend to travelers in my home town. I'd like to meet you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've done all kinds of work; including cleaning / housekeeping, gardening, bookkeeping and baby sitting. I have helped friends and family paint walls, put up wallpaper and decorate a new house, which is always great fun to do together. I have a little experience in partner relations and press as well. Also, I love tutoring and teaching, especially in mathematics and physics.

And I learned how to make pasta yourself by my Italian friends! I'm not an expert yet, but will keep practising ;)

Most importantly, I'm open minded and enthusiastic to learn new skills!
