Hey there!
My name is Meike, I’m 18 years old and live in Germany.
After graduating this summer, I knew I didn’t want to go to university immediately but rather take my time and travel to see more parts of the world and learn a bit more about it. I want to connect with new people and cultures, with nature and myself. I want to laugh, learn and help wherever I can.

While I’m not the most extroverted person, I am definitely outgoing and always make an effort to treat every soul I meet with kindness.
I like to help wherever I can, whether it is physical work, taking care of animals or kids or making people feel comfortable and welcome.

I love animals of all kind (but especially horses and dogs) and have been riding since I was five years old.
Apart from that I have quite a list of things I like/enjoy, some of wich are reading, writing, baking and cooking, crocheting, nature, meeting up with my friends, sudoku, photography, literature, mythology and history, learning quite literally anything,… you get the point.

I’m not quite sure yet what my journey is going to look like but I hope it’s filled with joy, valuable experiences and lovely people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up in the countryside and feel comfortable working with nature, gardening tasks, and animals. I’m not afraid of hard work and enjoy getting my hands dirty.
Having spent my whole life around animals (mostly farm animals), I love taking care of them, whether it’s feeding, cleaning stables, or giving them a warm cuddle.
I have experience working with children as a tutor and get along with them very well.
I also enjoy helping people in general, whether in customer service or other roles (I’m currently working as a postman).
While I’m happy to do all kinds of household chores, I especially love cooking and baking and enjoy creating meals in my free time. I’m a very creative person and love using my creativity for problem-solving or activities like painting.
Academically, I’ve been very successful so far, finishing school with a GPA of 1.1 and achieving a C2-level on my Cambridge English exam.
I also have a driver’s licence.
In general, I love opportunities to learn new skills and tend to pick them up quickly. I’m reliable, happy to help, and eager to learn :)
