Hi! I'm Martina – but everyone simply calls me Marti 😊

I'm 24 years old, I'm Italian and I come from Trieste, but for some time now I’ve been living in Barcelona, where I work in a company and study Management.
I joined Workaway because I have a big desire: to immerse myself in different cultures, to live real and human experiences that can enrich me and also allow me to give a real hand.
This year I made a promise to myself: I want to go to Africa. I want to live close to people, especially children, and discover new values. I already had a similar experience as an au pair in a family in Germany. I have a solid background in education.
I love being with children – listening to them, playing, teaching, and learning from them.

I like cooking for others: it’s my way of making people feel welcome and at home.
I love preparing simple dishes made with heart – and as a good Italian, pasta is always there!
When I lived in a hostel in Australia for three months, I often cooked for everyone – they were real sharing moments, even with people who didn’t speak the same language.

In general, I am available to help with any useful activity: with children, in the house, with small tasks. I see myself as a curious, sensitive, and positive person. I am looking for real experiences, deep human connections, and moments that leave something inside me.
I speak Italian, a bit of English and Spanish. I know how to adapt, listen, and I enjoy offering my help.
I’m looking for connection, authenticity, and growth.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience with children and in education, but I am a very flexible person: I learn fast and I like to be helpful where it’s needed. I’m used to working in a team, I can communicate clearly, and I like to take care of others. I can cook, keep things clean, help in the house, and organize small activities.
I would really like to work with NGOs or social projects, because I believe in the power of work in the field, and I want to help with honesty and enthusiasm.
I’m not afraid to work hard , to wake up early, or to face new situations – that’s exactly what I’m looking for!
