Hey,

I’m Martin. I'm 20 years old and from Berlin, Germany. I finished school last summer and have been working for the past few months to enable me to pursue my passion for traveling. I want to explore places all over the world, learn about new cultures, languages, and, most importantly, meet new people. I want to live my dream so that I have no regrets later on.

As a child, I was very adventurous, curious, and loved exploring, which is probably why I love traveling so much. Since I was 16, I've been traveling around with friends or alone every summer vacation. When I travel alone, I usually make friends on the trip quickly. I financed my travels by working during school and also on my travels, such as working at an adventure riding stable for children and teenagers. This was my first work and travel experience in 2019, and it was amazing, so I've been doing it every year since then.

I would describe myself as ambitious, enthusiastic, and very outgoing. I enjoy being active and helping others whenever I can. Since I was a child, I've tried out different sports. I love going for a run to clear my head or being in action and going on adventures with other people.

I would definitely say that I'm a sociable person who enjoys meeting new people. I think Workaway is an amazing opportunity for me and many others to grow as a person and learn to appreciate the little things in life. So, I would be thrilled if I could help you in any way possible.

I want to lern as much languages as possible so when ever I get the opportunity to lern a new language I will take it. I think it is such a great skill to speak many different languages and being able to communicate in the native language of the country you're visiting.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

With 16 I work at an adventure horse riding camp for children and teenagers in my summer vacations and worked as a petsitter for dogs and cats in my free time, giving me much experience in the handling of pets and horses.
Furthermore I worked at hotels and events for 9 months and also as a barkeeper.
In private, I cook at home for my family and myself since middle school and helped with gardening and made some handicrafts at my grandmas old farm and in our garden.
Since my family is pretty big I also babysitted a lot.
In my free time I go out and take photos as I'm a hobby photographer and paint whenever I have a day off.

I'm open for literally anything and would love to try new things. My hobbies are photography and painting as I'm a creative person. I love to do some sport or just go out for a walk and relax a little bit. I'm a very social person and like to be around other people and go on adventures with them or sometimes just have a good time by relaxing, playing some games and just appreciating some quality time.
There aren't really things I don't like since the thing I don't like the most is doing nothing without any sense. I always want to to something. Just sitting around without a purpose I find boring.
