Description

We are Margherita and Belal, a couple based in Italy, looking forward to our very first Workaway experience together this summer.

I’m Margherita. I work in event organization, where I coordinate and manage events. I love working with people, staying organized, and making every experience enjoyable. I have always loved animals, especially dogs, and I have experience taking care of them. When I was younger, I also enjoyed horse riding. In my free time, I volunteer in social initiatives in my beautiful city of Ferrara, helping with community activities whenever I can.

I’m Belal. I’m a dentist working in Italy, and I enjoy helping people and continuously learning new skills. Before becoming a dentist, I worked as for event organization, which helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people from different backgrounds. I have always loved travelling and discovering new cultures. Over the years, I had many wonderful experiences through Couchsurfing, which taught me the value of cultural exchange, openness, and adapting to new environments.

We are easy-going, respectful, reliable, and always happy to lend a hand. Whether it’s gardening, painting, caring for animals, helping around the house, cooking, hospitality, or any other daily tasks, we’re enthusiastic to learn and contribute wherever we can.

In our free time, we enjoy hiking in the mountains, exploring small towns, cooking together, and sharing stories over a good meal. We speak English and Italian, and Belal also speaks Arabic. We love cultural exchange, meaningful conversations, and learning from people with different backgrounds.

For us, Workaway is much more than travelling—it’s an opportunity to meet inspiring people, create lasting memories, learn new skills, and experience a place from a local perspective while giving something back.

Yes, we are interested in both learning and teaching languages. We enjoy cultural exchange and meeting people from different backgrounds. We can help with Italian and Arabic, and we would be happy to practice English or learn new languages from our hosts. We believe sharing languages is one of the best ways to connect with people and understand different cultures.
