Description

My name is Marek, I'm from the Czech Republic and I'm just starting my Workaway journey — ready to learn, help and connect.

I’m a trained landscape architect with a deep appreciation for nature, design, and sustainability. I love getting my hands dirty, whether it’s gardening, creating something beautiful, or helping out with everyday tasks. I'm especially interested in how people shape their surroundings, and I always enjoy contributing to spaces that bring people together.

I also really love animals and feel comfortable around them — whether it’s helping with pets, farm animals, or simply being around them. I’m happy to lend a hand with agricultural work or other outdoor tasks as well.

Besides my professional background, I'm passionate about languages, art, and discovering new cultures. I speak Czech, English and I'm learning French and German. I'm also into sports — I love hiking, running, fitness etc. Pretty much anything that gets me moving outdoors.

Even though I’m new to Workaway, I’m curious, open-minded, and always try to bring a positive attitude wherever I go. I’m respectful of others, happy to adapt, and I genuinely enjoy helping out and learning along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Gardening and plant care
I have years of hands-on experience with gardening, landscaping and plant production. I can help with planting, pruning, propagation, garden maintenance or creating functional and aesthetic green spaces.

Construction and manual work
As a trained architect, I’m used to both design and physical work on construction sites. I can assist with building, repairing, organizing materials, or working with basic tools — always with a careful and thoughtful approach.

Animal care
I grew up around animals and spent time volunteering at a wildlife rescue center. I feel comfortable caring for both pets and farm animals — feeding, cleaning, walking, or just being a calm and reliable presence.

Cooking
I enjoy cooking and feel confident in the kitchen. I’m used to preparing healthy, home-style meals and I enjoy sharing food with others. I’m happy to help with cooking for groups, cleaning up, or contributing to a warm, communal kitchen.

Sports & physical training
I have a background in sports and personal training, and I’m happy to share what I know. Whether it’s stretching, outdoor exercise, or movement routines, I enjoy supporting others in staying active and feeling good.

Marketing & graphic design (basic level)
I have some experience with visual communication and marketing — creating simple graphics, promotional materials or helping with the visual side of small projects or events.

General help & good company
I’m reliable, calm, and self-organized. I enjoy working independently as well as being part of a team. I’m also a good listener and thoughtful communicator — I believe in working with respect, care, and a bit of humor.
