I am a travel enthusiast for more than ten years: It all started with a semester abroad in New Zealand in 2010. Since then I used every opportunity to spend time abroad. In the first years as part of my studies which I spent in the Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden. After completing my studies I worked and travelled in Canada for a couple of months and since I ended up in serious working life (2015) I used my precious 30 days of holiday for trips to the US, Columbia and South Africa. In 2021 I took a three-month Sabbatical which me and my boyfriend used for a road trip through South Africa/Namibia and during which I fell in love with Southern Africa. This year we gonna start into an even bigger adventure: We have shipped our Land Rover to Cape Town and will spend a few months traveling around southern Africa!

I really like home stays and work & travel since it gives you the opportunity to get a glimpse into other peoples lives and discover a country off the beaten tracks. There is nothing better than meeting people you feel connected to far away from home :-)

I am a communication expert by profession (currently working in Marketing) and love writing! However, generally I am open for all kinds of work and like to try out new things.... E.g. I worked on a cattle farm before and also have some experience with housekeeping.

I really enjoy hiking and remote places off the beaten track - one day (in the not too distant future) my boyfriend and me want to pause our jobs in Germany and travel the world in a Landrover Defender for at least once a year!

I have a weakness for horses, chicken and sausage dogs....
